US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in iconic television series like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.

The skilled improv artist died at home in Los Angeles on Monday following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by news outlets.

"Pat never met a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones stated in a announcement.

They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

A Notable Television Career

His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.

He subsequently landed a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.

He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a social organizer known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous hit series, like:

He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.

"He coached, befriended and mentored countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find anyone who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.

Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote on social media.
