Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, according to local authorities.
Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.
Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.
Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles struck the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.
A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.
Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.
Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.
The strikes come after evenings of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are occupied by Russian forces.
All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.
He said technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
