Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's sole away win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?
I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.
My son told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have got lots of quality in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.
However I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
