Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who jumped a barrier and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of Singapore attendees had queued up to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-part version of the acclaimed theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
